Sustainability starts with the design at Hera Vintage, which is why we design and pattern cut all of our pieces to be dual sized. You can go up or down several dress sizes and your piece still fits and feels fantastic.

This jacket is a 100% recycled garment, with the main body from ex-home furnishings.

Hera Vintage is an accredited member of the living wage foundation. All of our employees receive a living wage or more for the skilled work that they do.

Made from a vintage 1930’s hand stitched patchwork quilt, this piece is a 3rd generation textile.

To give a bit of history about this piece in the 1930’s produce such as grain and flour was delivered in cotton sacks, in order to try and entice customers to buy certain brands of produce, companies would print these sacks with beautiful prints. Once used they would then be upcycled and patchworked into quilted bedspreads.

Some 90 years later this quilt has now been restored and refashioned into this beautiful piece

The design is called “wedding band” and is made up of several interlinking circles, bands or the eternity figure of 8 symbolising the eternal loop, these quilts were made as gifts for newly married couples

The overall garment has taken our expert team 15 hours of design, restoration and construction.
